🎈FEB. 26, 2-4 pm, GARDNER CAMPAIGN KICKOFF/KICKOUT: Stop by and say “hello” at Senator Cory Gardner's Denver Campaign Kickoff/Kickout. Members of IFRR will be at a podium on the corner of 19th and Stout with cake and balloons. Gardner's actual re-election campaign kickoff is in DC the following day, and entry is $2800 at a minimum. So join us here on the ground in Colorado to send a message ahead of that “congratulating” Gardner on his decision to run again.

📌FEB 27, 8 am - 12 pm, WOMEN’S LOBBY DAY: Join Women’s Lobby of Colorado for Women and Families’ Wednesdays Lobby Day at the Capitol. The Lobby Day will include a training on bills that impact women’s equity and rights in Colorado, followed by the opportunity to speak to legislators about them. Meet in the State Capitol basement cafeteria and wear the color teal.

💪FEB 27, 12-1 pm, ALL ARE WELCOME, ALL ARE SAFE RALLY FOR VIRGINIA’S LAW: Join Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition and other groups for a rally at the State Capitol on Wednesday to support Virginia’s Law. The law is designed to ensure that members of our immigrant community, survivors of domestic violence, and other victims of crime should feel safe calling the police. In moments of crisis, no one should fear law enforcement for fear of being turned over to ICE.

🌎MARCH 3, 4-5:30 pm, STAND INDIVISIBLE ON ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE: Discuss upcoming environmental bills with representatives from Colorado legislature and environmental advocacy groups like Colorado Conservation and Sierra Club. We need to strongly support our legislators as they work to pass this important gun violence prevention bill. State Legislation

HB19-1176 - Health Care Cost Savings Act of 2019 - Concerning the enactment of the "Health Care Cost Savings Act of 2019" that creates a task force to analyze health care financing systems in order to give the general assembly findings regarding the systems' costs of providing adequate health care to residents of the state.

HB19-1004 - Proposal For Affordable Health Coverage Option - Concerning a proposal for implementing a competitive state option for more affordable health care coverage in Colorado, and, in connection therewith, requesting authorization to use existing federal money for the proposed state option and taking other actions toward the implementation of the state option.

HB19-1174 - Out-of-network Health Care Services - Concerning out-of-network health care services provided to covered persons.

HB19-1168 - State Innovation Waiver Reinsurance Program - Concerning the creation of the Colorado reinsurance program to provide reinsurance payments to health insurers to aid in paying high-cost insurance claims, and, in connection therewith, authorizing the commissioner of insurance to seek approval from the federal government to waive applicable federal requirements, request federal funds, or both, to enable the state to implement the program and making the program contingent upon waiver or funding approval.

SB19-005 - Import Prescription Drugs From Canada - Concerning wholesale importation of prescription pharmaceutical products from Canada for resale to Colorado residents.

Federal Legislation

H.R. 168: Reentry and Reunification Act - To authorize the Secretary of Homeland Security to provide lawful permanent resident status to previously removed alien parents and spouses of citizens of the United States, and for other purposes.
