S.2006: Breast Density and Mammography Reporting Act of 2017

Author's Summary:  To require breast density reporting to physicians and patients by facilities that perform mammograms, and for other purposes.

IB Summary:  According to Senator Dean Heller (R - Nev): "[This bill] would improve breast cancer detection by requiring the mammogram report a woman already receives to include whether she has dense tissue, so she can discuss with her health care provider if she should seek additional screening."

Status: Introduced on 10/25/2017. Read twice and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.
