S.2192: SECURE Act of 2017

Author's Summary:  To strengthen border security, increase resources for enforcement of immigration laws, and for other purposes.

IB Summary:  According to the Center for Immigration Studies: "[This] bill contains many positive provisions, but there are also a number of problematic sections that will need to be amended in markup. In particular, Title IV of that bill is identical to S. 128, the "Bar Removal of Individuals who Dream and Grow our Economy" Act or "BRIDGE Act", which was sponsored by Sens. Graham, Durbin, Murkowski, Feinstein, Flake, Schumer, and Harris in January 2017, and unfortunately shares its flaws." Read more here - https://cis.org/Arthur/Brief-Overview-Title-IV-SECURE-Act-2017
