Author's Summary: " The Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan seeks to protect the natural environment of the Boulder Valley while fostering a livable, vibrant and sustainable community. The plan provides a general statement of the community’s desires for future development and preservation of the Boulder Valley, and the city and county use it to guide long-range planning, the review of development proposals and other activities that shape the built and natural environments in the Boulder Valley."
IB's Summary: This long-range plan for the City's development encompasses several issues of land use change including the Annexation of CU South for development, flood mitigation, and open space preservation. The first plan was written in 1977 and is updated every 5 years. The current update will be finalized at the end of 2017 after extensive public input.
