Sponsored by Indivisible Denver
Call to Action Colorado! as part of the Love Knows No Borders National Week of Action standing in solidarity with the migrant caravan and all who seek refuge in the U.S.
Groups from across the Metro area and diverse communities will deliver a letter (follow link in tickets below) of demands to both our Senators (simultaneous delivery in Washington DC offices) to demand that Colorado’s Senators hold the Trump Administration accountable for respecting the fundamental human right to asylum. The coalition will present letters signed and endorsed by dozens of leading voices from human rights, faith-based, and refugee assistance organizations, as well as by elected officials, calling upon the Senators to take urgent legislative action to ensure that the U.S. government upholds domestic and international law regarding human rights law, the right to asylum and the right to due process.
Organizers in Denver will walk from Senator Bennet to Gardner's offices in solidarity with the migration of our brothers and sisters. After delivering our call to action to Senator Gardner, we'll hold a vigil in outside his offices in honor of border communities and those killed, injured or detained while attempting to claim asylum and refuge in the United States.
